Jonai Girls' College is situated in the vicinity of Jonai township area established in the year 1994 with the cherished goal of spreading and imparting higher education to backward women section of Jonai Sub-Division, Assam and abutting areas of Arunachal Pradesh. Since the day of its inception, the college has been relentlessly working to attain its cherished goal of spreading the light of knowledge to hitherto uncontested weaker section of this area. Jonai Girls' College is the outcome of concerted efforts, sacrifice and dedication of the local people, teaching and non-teaching staff of the college, the farsighted management members and unconditional support of the student community. The college has come across many hurdles and/or stumbling blocks to reach this present stage.
