About
As a constituent department of jonai girls’ college the education department has been introduced its general courses from the year2008-09 And major(HONURS) course from the year 2009-10.
The department offers major (honours) and general course in undergraduate B.A. Programme. Currently the department has 45 numbers of student intake capacities in major course. The department always strives to provide a quality learning environment to its student with an enriched departmental library and equipped psychological laboratory facilities. The department has three numbers of full time permanent faculty members. The faculties are best in class professionals with rich and varied experiences. The faculty members are always co-operative, friendly and motivating to their students. They tried to facilitate all sort of required guidance, help and encouragement for the students so that student can attain all round development and groom their personality traits. The students are always encouraged to participate actively in teaching learning process. They are often taken out for field visit, educational tour, excursion to have first hand and practical experiences of learning. Here, it is worth mentioning that the students of education department have begged the best graduate’s award in academic performance and best departments in annual college week of jonai Girls College for a consecutive numbers of times in comparison to other departments. It is privileged for the department to mention that Miss Jun Doley one of our departmental alumni was adjudged and crowned the title of ‘DY365 bihu rani’ with a car and cash price of one lakh in a reality dance programme organized by a popular satellite TV channel in the year 2013. Our students are always encouraged to participate in departmental seminars, workshops, extensional activities of the college. The students of this esteemed department regularly published a departmental wall magazine entitled “KHUJ” annually.
